First Mondax Football Cup: pass the hat for the Good Samaritan

For a man who spent his whole life giving and serving others, he is uncomfortable being shoved in the limelight, much less talked about in a football cup for a cause that bears his name.
Ramon “Mondax” Dacawi, helper of the downtrodden, sick, weak, children, sportsmen, student athletes, Baguio’s environment, media, information officer at City Hall and a homegrown media man par excellence is undergoing dialysis weekly. The high cost of dialysis takes its toll on anyone but inspite of his condition, Mondax still gets up and holds the hands of others in pain by helping them remedy their own dialysis treatment fees. What sustains him in his weekly dialysis treatments is his desire to see his grandchildren grow up, like any other doting Grampa.
Cordilleran Binnadang and Cordilleran Binnadang FC decided to conduct the First Mondax Football Cup for a cause to honor the humble man, and help two other sick indigent parents of Cordilleran Binnadang student football players. Mondax’s friends can also give any help as sponsors to help him sustain his dialysis treatments through the football for a cause. A sponsorship form and receipt are available in the Cordilleran Binnadang office at 10 Montinola Subdivision, Kisad Road, Baguio.
Interested good Samaritans may contact Shandelle Sabado at 09364472322 to inquire about how to become a Mondax Football Cup sponsor. Names of sponsors will be displayed during the tournament as well as mentioned on digital media. Anonymous sponsors can also be accommodated.
The football cup aims to attract various teams from the city, nearby La Trinidad, the Cordillera, regions 1 and 2, NCR and South of Manila.
The tournament will be on May 26 to 27, 2018 at the Baguio Athletic Bowl. For registration, contact Coach Dave (09078380841) or Coach Nestor (09276420356) or send a personal message through the Facebook account of Cordilleran Binnadang. Deadline of registration will be on May 19, 2018.
The first Mondax Cup aims to pass the hat of sponsorship in any amount in the Baguio community, among friends of Mondax here and abroad and to anyone who likes to act as a comforting hand to those who carry their pain everyday and hope to make it till sunrise.
