GOLDS FOR BAGUIO’S 2 YOUNG BOY MUAY THAI PLAYERS IN IFMA WORLDS, EYE MORE

Two Baguio boys – Clark Fatit and Edel Ali Ngina – have done their fair share of work as they accounted for a gold of the country’s two gold, one silver performance in the IFMA Youth World Championships 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Wednesday. More they are also expected to bring home a silver medal each after booking their tickets to finals of their respective divisions.

This after the two successfully hurdles their semifinals matches The Grade 9 from Valley National High School Fatit punched his way to the finals late Wednesday afternoon by beating homegrown Ashley Kar Kit Chow in the third round of the 14-15 years old – 40 kilogram category. The Grade 10 from the Baguio City National High
School Ngina, son of coach Edzel, won his semifinal earlier in the 14-15 -60, and is awaiting the winner between the
representatives from Hungary and New Zealand, said coach Billy Alumno.

The young Ngina is also set to fight in the finals of the waikru form solo, added Alumno, once a muay Thai fighter and a professional boxer, who also ventured in the movies as stunt double and fight coordinator. Earlier the duo won a gol in the male 14-15 open division, as the Philippine youth team rolled to two golds and a silver medal in the event. The other gold was provided by the pair of Jan Brix Ramiscal who topped the mixed doubles category, while Johnden Aldana Jr. and Alyssa Kylie Mallari took the silver.

Balinas is also seeing axction in the 12-13 female – 38 Clark Fattit and Edel Ali Ngina bagged the other gold after ruling the Male 14-15 Open division. Fattit and Balinas will be back in the ring this afternoon for the semifinals of the 14-15 male -40kg and 12-13 female – 38kg divisions, respectively. The event started last August 9 and runs until the 21st where competitions will be in all youth weight divisions int eh combat side, as well as both individual and mixed team events for wi kru and mai muay disciplines.
