GRENADE LOBBED AT ABRA CAPITAL VILLAGE EXEC’S GATE

A hand grenade was lobbed infront of the gate of a village chief at sitio Laplapog, barangay Bangbangar, dawn Friday. Bangued police said the blast was reported to them by a concerned villager mobile at around 1:20 AM, April 4, 2025. Bangbangar barangay chairman Loreto Laureta showed investigators the blasted portion of the ground near his house. After cordoning the area, cops found the hand grenade’s
safety lever. No one was however reported hurt from the blast. Abra Police Explosive and Canine Unit (PECU) are now into examining gathered evidences to enable investigators to identify what kind of a grenade caused the dawn blast. Intelligence operatives of the Bangued
police said they are now conducting a deeper investigation in order to identify who were behind the grenade attack.
