BAGUIO CITY(October 6, 2020)— A sports complex that can accommodate big sporting events will soon rise in Ifugao.
With the facility, Ifigao can also host regional and national sports events among others that can contribute to the province’s tourism, thus giving more economic opportunities to the people.
Ifugao Governor Jerry Dalipog said they can now eye hosting of the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) sports meet in the future.
The sports complex will be constructed at Lagawe, Ifugao.
According to Ifugao Vice Governor Glenn Prudenciano, the project costs P50 million.
Prudencio added that aside from the sports facilities, the area will also serve as development center where there will be a trading post and a food terminal.
Governor Dalipog appealed to the people and officials especially within the site of the construction to settle the issues on the road-right-of-way. This he said to avoid problems that will hamper the project.
