A total of 4,928 pieces of confiscated, surrendered illegal firecrackers, and pyrotechnic devices were destroyed
during the ceremony held at the Melvin Jones Ground, Baguio City, December 31, 2024. P/Brig,Gen. David K Peredo, Jr, Regional Director PRO-CAR along with Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, and P/Col. Ruel D Tagel, City Director BCPO, led the ceremonial destruction of the various firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices by soaking them in water and running them over by a truck.
