LA UNION GOV TURNS OVER SEAR TO GRANDFATHER

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union

Outgoing Gov. Raphaella Veronica Ortega-David has turned over the reign of provincial government to her grandfather La Union Governor-elect Mario Eduardo Ortega in simple ceremony held at the La Union Convention Center here yesterday. Ortega-David, in her
speech, told Mario that she will extend her full support to the capitol’s new administration. Mario defeated Ortega-David by a wide margin during the midterm elections.

Reggie Colisao, provincial director of the Department of Interior and Local Government, said the turn over ceremony is a regular and official activity for the outgoing and incoming officials of local government units. Mario, for his part, he accepted the support of Ortega-David and assured her that he will continue the programs and projects ‘as long as they are worth it.’ Mario is younger brother of former Governor Manuel Ortega, the father of ex￾Governor Francisco Emmanuel Ortega III, the father of Ortega-David.
