Inilunsad ng Montañosa Film Festival (MFF) sa tulong ng sa Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), ang CCP
Lakbay Sine + MFF Caravan sa mga piling paaralan sa lungsod, no Marso 20-21. Ayon sa Lead Organizer Raymond Sakiwat, “MFF’s and CCP’s Lakbay Sine aims to bring film appreciation and social awareness through films to the
universities. This is to make sure we reach out to students and help them realize their potential in filmmaking.”

Noong Marso 15 binisita ng caravan ang Cordillera Career Development College at Baguio City National High School.
Sa ikalawang araw, Marso 16 naman ay sa Saint Louis University at University of Baguio. “We chose the schools
based on interest and ability to host, and of course willingness of school to be one with us with our objectives,” pahayag ni Sakiwat. Sa temang ‘Building Bridges Beyond Boundaries’ ng MFF, ang ilang mga piling pelikulang pinoy ang hatid ng Lakbay Sine na mabusising inilatag ng Montañosa.

“These are award-winning films produced in the Philippines like Endo, Last Supper No. 3, Anak and many more. These were selected because it raises social awareness it can help students realize how to be more socially active,” dagdag ni Sakiwat. Bukod sa pagpapalaganap ng kultura hangad din ng MFF katuwang ang CCP na mamulat lalo na ang mga kabataan sa mga isyung panlipunan sa tulong ng mga lokal na pelikula at maging inspirasyon ito sa mga bagong henerasyon ng filmmakers.
