LANDSLIDE BURIES FARMER IN IFUGAO

BAGUIO CITY (September 1, 2022)—- Continuous heavy rains in Ifugao triggered by Super Typhoon Henry and Tropical Depression Gardo triggered a landslide in sitio Natulan, barangay Mongol, Mayoyao burrying a house where Renie Omayho Bullan, 37, was trapped Wednesday night, a report reaching only this late afternoon Cordillera police director Mafelino Bazar.

Bullan, Bazar quoting the report said, went to his brother’s house to keep his motorcycle, But due to the heavy rains, he decided to stay until a landslide struck in the area which buried his brother’s house and trapped him inside.

Rescuers composed of Ifugao policemen, Bureau of Fire Protection, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and other volunteers, were able to dig out the lifeless body of the victim Thursday (September 1, 2022)

The body of the victim was brought to his residence at Sitio Natimlan, also in Brgy. Mongol, Mayoyao.
