LU Councilor, senior citizen recovers from COVID-19, 1 reported positive case

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Two additional recorded recovery case of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) which includes Caba town councilor, and a senior citizen of this city after they declared cleared of the infection. Caba town councilor Donna Crispino, 44, resident of Barangay San Carlos of the said town was declared cleared of infection according by the Department of Health (DOH) Region 1 bulletin at 5 p.m. on April 14.
Crispino’s first negative result was released on April 6 and second negative result came out April 14, thus she has been declared recovered.
This was later confirmed on her social media account, “Having gotten my second negative result makes me officially COVID-19 free,” Crispino said in her statement.
She also posted her medical certificate duly signed by their municipal health officer declaring she is deemed recovered by the DOH.
Crispino had undergone home quarantine from March 20 to April 14. She was confirmed positive on March 20.
The other recovery is a 66-year old female from Barangay Lingsat, San Fernando City, La Union was previously admitted at Lorma Medical Center last March 29 and was confirmed as COVID-19 positive last April 1.
Her first negative result was on April 9 and her second negative result was on April 10. She was discharged on April 14 and will follow strict 14-day home quarantine City Mayor Alfredo Pablo R. Ortega said that the city was confirmed one of the two cases of COVID-19 are now been tested negative making the city COVID-19 free.
“This feat will not make us stop exerting all our efforts to bring genuine solutions in our battle against COVID-19. Rest assured, heightened precautionary measure will still be strictly implemented and residents are still highly advised to stay home,” Ortega said.
Meanwhile, one additional record for positive COVID-19 case is from Bauang town, according to DOH-1 Wednesday (April 15, 2020).
The patient is a 75-year-old female from Barangay Calumbaya with no travel history or known exposure.
She felt onset of illness on April 13 and consulted a doctor on the same day. Her lab result released on April 15 confirmed he is positive for COVID-19.
The patient is currently admitted at Bethany Hospital and will be transferred to the ITRMC.
