A joint team from the Permits and Licensing Division of the City Mayor’s
Office and the Market Division of the City Treasury Office acted on a complaint of faulty weighing scales
in a fruit stall at Loakan Proper last Aug. 8. The team found one uncalibrated digital weighing scale and
confiscated one defective weighing scale without seal. City permits and licensing division head Allan
Abayao called on traders to ensure that their weighing scales are in good working condition, calibrated and
sealed to avoid shortchanging customers.
