MEDIA CLUB TO DECIDE BETWEEN VET PHOTOJOURN, YOUNG RADIO BROADCASTER NEW PRESIDENT

The Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club will make a choice between a veteran photojournalist and a radio broadcaster who will be the club’s president in its annual election Saturday, February 8. It will be a battle of Juniors
in the election that was supposed to be staged last January 29 but moved to it’s present date due to it’s proximity with the Media Golf BCBC Commission on Election chair Miguelito Velarde, Jr. said that it will be a choice between Dave Leprozo, Jr. and Dionisio Dennis, Jr. when members of the 60 year old media group decide in the polls to be staged at the BENECO boardroom from 9am to 3 pm.

“It will be a toss up between a veteran journalist in Kulot (Leprozo) and Dining (Dennis) tomorrow,” said Velarde Friday as his committee of four will prepare the venue for the event. The two seek to replace outgoing president Thomas Picana, whose one year term of office ends when a new president and his officers are declared after the counting is finished. Running the DZWT employee are Darius Bajo and Jimmy Ceralde as vice presidents for television and radio, respectively: Eufeldion Lobien as secretary, Rose Malekchan as treasurer and Charles Nikko Limon of RNG as auditor.

Those running for director ls are Joseph Manzano, Mario Oclaman, incumbent Aldwin Quitasol and Freddie Rulloda. Leprozo is running on his own after his line up was disqualified after they failed signing their notarized certificate of candidacy. Dennis is the current vice president for print, while Lobien is the present secretary.
