MONTHLY CLEAN-UP DRIVE ACTIVITY

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bokod has been implementing measures in maintaining cleanliness and attaining liveable place for the entire municipality.
One of these is the conduct of monthly clean-up drive activities. The clean-up drive activity was conducted along the Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road and Andres Acop Cosalan Road. Representatives per office from the LGU-Bokod were divided into two (2) groups to conduct the said activity.
Residuals, recyclables and some special wastes were picked up while biodegradables were buried for decomposition.
These were sorted at source to maximize the time and to practice this strategy at all times. Also, household owners and passersby along the road were told to practice proper waste segregation. With these small acts, every citizen from the entire municipality or passers-by will imitate such strategy and avoid disposing of wastes along the roads.
