The Mountain Province Pattong Group presents the traditional “Cheg-as” and “suwe-ey” a segment of an elaborate ritual practice called “Chono” a hierarchical order of higher feasts performed by already married couples during the Multiculturalism Variety Show of the 37th Cordillera Month celebration at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

This year’s theme, “Multiculturalism Towards Regional Development and Autonomy,” showcased the different
indigenous and non-indigenous cultural songs, dances, musical instrument, cultural attires, and the like. The event seeks to foster greater understanding, appreciation, and respect for various cultural heritages, traditions, and art forms across the region. The event underscores the significant role that each culture plays in the region’s development and aspirations for regional autonomy.
