To address housing backlogs
National Developers Convention set Some 400 developers to include Northern Luzon and Cordillera developers , policymakers, suppliers and various housing industry stakeholders are expected to participate in the 31st edition of the National Developers Convention set on October 5 in Cebu City. The two-day event is organized by the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association, Inc. (SHDA),the largest and leading industry association for housing and urban development in the country.
The convention with the theme “Building Nationwide Growth Through Regional Development” will explore innovative approaches to boost economic growth at the grassroot level while contributing to the broader national development objectives, according to SHDA release Day 1 will focus on
issues and concerns that affect the housing industry while Day 2 will be on the regional success
stories in the real estate development.
Underscoring the significance of the convention, President Ferdinand “BongBong” R. Marcos is
expected to deliver a video message highlighting the administration’s flagship housing program-the
Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program (4PH). Prominent figures from the national sector set to headline the event include Senator Joseph Victor “JV” G. Ejercito, Chairman of the Senate
Committee on Urban Planning, Housing and Resettlement; Congressman Jose Francisco “Kiko” B. Benitez, Chairman of the House Committee on Housing and Urban Development; Secretary Jose
Rizalino L. Acuzar of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD);
Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, Ph.D. of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA); and Marilene Acosta, CEO of Pag-IBIG.
