Nephew shot killed by his uncle after arguing in La Union

SUDIPEN, La Union – Two members of the families argue between uncle and nephew which triggered into one death over a deep well in Barangay San Francisco Sur this town Monday (Jan. 10, 2021).The victim was identified as Ereneo Arciaga, 45, a construction worker, while the suspect is Eliseo Arciaga, 78, both were residents of Barangay San Francisco Sur, Sudipen, La Union.
According to Sudipen Chief of Police Pol. Capt. Crecencio Abila, Jr. said that the suspect was rushed to the victim’s house for suspecting their deep well gate valve has been moved to weaken their
faucet water flows. Abila added that the younger Arciaga allegedly laid his hand on his uncle and that triggered to the shooting incident.
The victim was dead on arrival at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center due to a gunshot wound sinking into its forehead by the use of a calilber 38.
The suspect is now in police custody while prepares a murder case against him. Abila disclosed that the suspect’s reason was to him for a self-defense to carry a gun.
It was learned that that these two had a dispute before.
