Newcomer partylist group “Solid North” landed on the top choices in the latest survey launched by think-tank Tangere. Tangere’s October 1 to 4, 2024 survey found “Solid North” partylist, a first-timer joining the midterm elections in May 2025, is among the 44 partylist groups projected to earn spots in the House of Representatives. The said neophyte party list was said to be able to secure one seat, which is a huge milestone for a newcomer like Solidnorth compared to more veteran partylist groups like ACT-CIS, 4PS and Ako Bicol.
Among a total of 44 other party lists projected to secure at least a seat each like Solidnorth are Malasakit@Bayanihan, Agri Party List, and FPJ Panday Bayanihan. “Its an honor and with this early de facto mandate, and if we get than chance to serve at the legislature, we will do it with excellence all in the name of service to the people.” said La Paz, Abra Mayor JB Bernos, “Solid North” Chairman and National President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP). Solid North covers mainly around 15 provinces in the North Luzon particularly in Region, 1, 2, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and 3 and other places of Luzon.
It banners “Timpuyog ti Amianan” or Unity in the North. Main agenda of the party list is to ensure the realization of development initiatives in Northern Philippines. Martin Peñaflor, Tangere CEO had said that survey results reflect a keen interest among voters on party-list groups that advocate for the marginalized sectors, particularly focusing on the needs of farmers and the agricultural community.
The Tangere survey was participated by a sample size of 2,400 using a mobile-based respondent application and a stratified random sampling method. The survery group started as an opinion poll survey before the pandemic, and during the pandemic greatly accelerated the need for fast and actionable insights. Seeing the potential of the mobile application to provide meaningful insights and data to the community.
