NTF-ELCAC SLAMS KABATAAN PARTYLIST 1 PREPOSTEROUS FB POST

The Legal Cooperation Cluster (LCC) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) denounces the preposterous Facebook Post of KABATAAN PARTYLIST1 which falsely accuses the NTF-ELCAC as “electoral cheaters,” with President
Ferdinand Marcos Jr., as the alleged “mastermind”. Apart from mentioning the contemptuous statements made by Kabataan Partylist
Representative Raoul Manuel (Manuel) in connection with the filing by the Makabayan Coalition of their formal complaint before the
Commission on Elections (COMELEC) against the NTF-ELCAC for purported violation of COMELEC Resolution No. 11116, the Facebook Post features a malicious picture which depicts the NTF-ELCAC as “Notorious Task Force for Electoral Cheating and Attacking Candidates.”

The said photo likewise contains President Marcos Jr.’s picture with the caption “CERTIFIED *Adik sa dayaan, *Adik sa kapangyarihan, *Walang pinag-iba kay Duterte,” while highlighting Manuel’s misleading statement about “red-tagging” as a supposed “blatant attack against genuine youth representation,” among others. Social media has no place for the utterly ludicrous, blatantly deceitful, and, at the
same time, deviously self-aggrandizing post of KABATAAN PARTYLIST which reeks of desperate propaganda borne of the Makabayan Coalition’s frantic attempt to recover public support and sympathy, which they have deservingly lost over the years, on account of the government’s sustained unmasking of the Coalition’s real character.

Contrary to KABATAAN PARTYLIST’s Facebook Post, the NTF-ELCAC, under the leadership of its Chairman, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., supports a clean, honest, orderly, peaceful and free 2025 Midterm Elections. The NTF-ELCAC, ever committed to the whole-of-nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace, neither engages in any election offense nor resorts to underhanded tactics which would impair the credibility of the upcoming elections. Instead, the NTF-ELCAC seeks to meaningfully contribute to enabling the Filipino people, especially the voters, to make informed choices as they exercise their sacred right of suffrage in few weeks’ time.

Long gone are the days when the likes of Manuel and his cohorts can fool the Filipino people with cheap propaganda and theatrics which paints evil against the government whose concern is to only disclose the truth, expose evil, and protect the Filipino citizenry, especially the youth. The NTF-ELCAC-LCC is undeterred by the complaint that the Makabayan Coalition has filed with the COMELEC. Rather, the NTF-ELCAC-LCC sees such development as an opportunity to rightfully expose, in a tribunal setting, the real identities of these personalities, through solid and credible evidence.

Finally, rather than wasting their efforts to propagate senseless posts and hiding behind futile propaganda which, frankly speaking, do not even generate substantial impact and attention from the public, Manuel and the leaders of the Makabayan Coalition, should instead address the longstanding clamor of the Filipino people for them to denounce the atrocities and other evil acts committed and are still being committed by the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic
Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).

Too, it bears noting that up until now, Manuel and his cohorts have not yet debunked or discredited the credible testimonies of former Kabataan Partylist members and NPA rebels who have testified, under oath, in various tribunals, about Manuel and Kabataan Partylist’s affiliation with the CPP-NPA-NDF. All told, the NTF-ELCAC-LCC enjoins everyone to always seek and uphold the truth which is indispensable to a well-functioning and vibrant democracy.
