Online shop delivery boy killed for robbery hold-up in La Union

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – An online shop delivery boy was pronounced dead while treated at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center after he was robbed and shot by two riding in tandem suspects along Penslyvania Avenue, Madayegdeg Friday afternoon (Feb. 7, 2020) here.
Police Major Silverio Ordinado, Jr., La Union police information officer, identified the victim as Ben Mclauad Madayag, working in Lazada Courier and resident of Cabisilan, Bauang, La Union.
In initial investigation, the victim went to AML vulcanizing shop to delivered a package to a customer from Lazada online until he returned to his motorcycle when suddenly a gunner suspect promptly shot him twice in close range and robbed the victims bag then fled on board to his cohort in a violet MIO motorcycle towards east direction.
The victim was shot through his chest and neck and rushed to ITRMC for medical treatment by a certain Ariel, however, in several hours the victim was pronounced dead.
Scene of the Crime Operatives was now being responded and the City police station here are now conducting checkpoint, manhunt operation, and gather further investigation.
