OPLAN RIZAL RECALIBRATE 2.0 FOR MINORS

City Director Co. Francisco Bulwayan,Jr., ordered police personnel to intensify ‘Oplan Rizal’ Recalibrated 2.0 as a proactive way of crime prevention and collectively enforce ordinances, particularly cases involving minors. The OPLAN aims to safeguard the welfare and rights of the youth, to rescue them from becoming offenders, and victims of crime and abuse.

Baguio;s Finest, in partnership with the city government, the different barangays and other agencies consolidated all existing ordinances concerning minors to carry out aggressive implementation of the plan at the different night spots, parks, and houses of ill-refute along the central business district and the outskirt of the city.

With the help of the barangay officials and Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (Tanod), BCPO personnel regularly conduct patrolling, establishment visitation, and intervention program
participation initiated by the City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO). Related ordinances on curfew and anti-vandalism are also strictly implemented and enforced to prevent and reduce street crimes, vandalism, and other unlawful acts committed especially by minors.

The BCPO appealed to the public to help in rescuing the youth from vices, abuse, and any form of delinquency and develop their potential to be responsible and credible members of the society.
