CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – Mahigit sa P41.6 milyong halaga ng mga illegal drugs ang nakumpiska mula sa pina-igting na drug operations, kasabay ang pagkakahuli sa may 1,110 666 drug personalities sa lalawigan ng Rehiyon 1.
Sa year end report ni Police BGen. Rodolfo Azurin,Jr., regional director ng Police Regional Office-1, sa kabuuang 1,007 anti-illegal drugs operations na isinagawa ay nag-resulta ng pagkakadakip ng 1,110 drug personalities at pagkakakumpiska ng 2.903 kg ng shabu na may DDB value na P19,744,512.64.
May kabuuang 76.181 kg ng marijuana na may DDB value P9,141,718.31 at nine marijuana eradications ang isinagawa na may DDB value na P12,808,020.00.
Ayon kay Azurin, malaki ang ibinababa ng crime incidents sa rehiyon na naitalang 10,003 o 43% decrease of crime incidents mula sa kabuuang 13,441 sa nakalipas na taong 2020 kumpara sa 23,444 noong 2019.
“Our police operations and the quarantine protocols contributed to the remarkable decrease of crimes in our area of responsibility, but the cooperation of the community and the support of its leaders and the religious sectors really made a big difference,” pahayag ni Azurin.
Sa programang ELCAC (End Local Communists’ Armed Conflict), iniulat ni Azurin ang pagsuko ng 72 former rebels sa Tayug, Pangasinan at 164 identified members of left-leaning organizations, ang nanumpa sa pagbabalik-loob sa pamahalaan, samantalang may kabuuang 67 miyembro ng Communist National Terrorists (CNTs), ang kusang-loob na sumuko, na ang 8 ay napatay sa enkuwentro at 5 ang nadakip.
“This is PRO1’s flagship project which calls for the joint efforts of the police, church and community towards a more peaceful and progressive community; this was conceptualized through
the program thrust M+K+K=K or MALASAKIT sa kapwa, coupled with KAAYUSAN and KAPAYAPAAN through the people’s cooperation, would bring about the sustainable KAUNLARAN.”
Sa command visit ni Chief, PNP, PGen Debold Sinas noong Enero 3, labis na binati nito ang PRO1 sa pagiging excellent policing and all their noteworthy accomplishments in the fight against illegal drugs, criminalities and insurgency.
Ayon kay Azurin, “We will be on guard day and night and let our people feel the safest. Even this pandemic will not hamper us from implementing the law, provided that we follow the health protocols of the New Normal.”
