PDEA- CAR seeks forfeiture of drug premises

BAGUIO CITY (September 18, 2021)— The legal team of PDEA-CAR is heading to seek the local government of Baguio to issue an ordinance declaring drug premises as “public nuisances” subject to abatement and forfeiture in favor of the government.
This after a raid at the house of convicted “Baguio drug queen” Brenda Singson along QM barangay here, already its third since mid 2000s on September 14.
Suspect Alysia Singson, 29, Brenda’s daughter, was arrested in the same infamous residence with drugs, liquid shabu including syringes and various drug paraphernalia.
She was also in possession of a gun and live ammunition.
It can be recalled that Brenda’s son Christopher Singson was also convicted of rape with homicide on two young girls several years ago. One of them was stuffed in a luggage and thrown at a ravine in Balacbac Road, here.
Brenda’s nephew Errol Singson and Alysia’s boyfriend Mark Garcia are also in jail for drugs.
“Drugs and criminal premises may be declared as public nuisance under the law, now, if that would be forfeited I would move that the premises be used as safe space for the victims of abused children, our PWDs and the seniors, para mapakinabangan ng ating mga kababayan”  PDEA CAR Director Gil Castro said.
