PESO Supports Entrepreneurial Development Training for OFWs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, La Union — The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) partnered with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Office I (OWWA – RO I) in conducting a training-seminar on Enhanced Entrepreneurial Development Training (EEDT) to Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Returnees on May 9, 2019 here.
Participants were composed of OFW returnees who were qualified to avail the Enterprise Development and Loan Program (EDLP) of OWWA.
The training aimed to help OFW Returnees to enhance their entrepreneurial skills to put up their own business. Participants were taught on how to prepare a business plan and how to become successful entrepreneurs.
La Union PESO Manager Charito C. Dator also discussed the programs and services of PESO to the participants.
With this training, the participants were provided with knowledge and strategies to advertise and manage their own business. EDLP is an enterprise development intervention and loan facility in partnership with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) provided to OFW and their families to support their entrepreneurial endeavors.
