Siblings Nicole Cawed, and Igor, cast their votes in their traditional cultural attires at the SPED Center in Baguio City during the May 9, 2022, National and Local Elections.
The wearing of cultural attires in voting is a tradition that was started by their father, Bong Cawed, which the siblings
continue to this day. Both said that they continue the tradition started by their father to show that they are proud Igorots who are proud of their heritage and culture.
They said this is also a way to encourage the younger generation to appreciate their rich tradition in the Cordillera. Here, Nicole feeds the ballot at the VCM while Igor checks on the votes on his receipt.
