The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) — Benguet will be conducting the July 2024 Labor Force Survey (LFS)/2024 Annual Poverty Indicator Survey this July. The LFS is a monthly household survey that measures the country’s current labor market and is used to calculate national and regional employment and unemployment rates. TheAPIS, on the other hand, is an annual household survey (except in years when the Family Income and Expenditure Survey is conducted) which can be used to generate non-income-related poverty indicators for monitoring the poverty situation in the country. It also serves as one of the basis for the policies and programs formulation to improve the living conditions of the population. Data from the July 2024 LFS andAPIS will be
used to monitor selected indicators for Sustainable Development Goals(SDG).

A module on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) is included in this survey round. This module will capture children’s participation in ECCD programs and services, as well as respondents’ parenting styles, perceptions and practices in ECCD and the information will be used to assess and evaluate the implementation ofthe national ECCD system in the country. Further, a module on Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is also included in the survey round.

This module contains questions designed to capture information on the specific characteristics of the technical
vocational course completed and currently being taken by individuals, competency assessment test status, and
scholarship programs. The information on scholarship beneficiaries will serve as input in assessing its impact on
TVET enrollees and graduates. The LFS and APIS round will be conducted from 08 to 31 July 2024 and the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) application as a method of data collection will be utilized
during field operation.
