The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is currently conducting the 2023 Updating of the List of
(ULE) with the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) for Non-Households which started on 2 May until 31 July 2023 for the province of Benguet and Baguio City. The Updating of the List of Establishments (ULE) is a regular undertaking which aims to provide an updated and reliable sampling frame for the censuses and surveys of establishments and enterprises.
The 2023 ULE will involve door to-door canvassing of establishments covering all barangays of Benguet and Baguio City to update the status of operation and characteristics of the establishments, to capture and determine characteristics of “new” establishments. On the other hand, the Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) is a large-scale government undertaking geared towards the collection and compilation of basic information on the agricultural and fishery sectors in the country.
The 2022 CAF for NonHouseholds includes enumeration of all agricultural, aquaculture, and fishing establishments/organizations with crop farm, livestock/poultry farm (including culturing of
insects/worms), aqua farm, and fishing operations. The PSA will utilize personal interview through
Computer Assisted Personal interview (CAPI) and SelfAdministered Questionnaires (SAQ) for CAF NonHouseholds as the primary method of collection.
PSA-Benguet Provincial Statistical Office hired Team Supervisors (TS) and Statistical Researchers (SRs) to conduct the listing operation. The PSA adheres to the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and proportionality pursuant to R.ANo. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act ol 2012 and R.A. No. 10625 or the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013. All information gathered on the survey are confidential and not for disclosure unless authorized by law. Moreover, PSA will release data only in the form of summaries or statistical tables.
The office assures the public that required public health and safety measures to contain COVID- 19 will be strictly observed in all phases of field operations. All PSA personnel and hired field interviewers and team supervisors who will be deployed are in good health condition and will strictly follow precautionary measures against COVID-19, such as wearing of face mask, physical
distancing, proper hygiene and sanitation, and wearing of PSA lD. they shall likewise observe all protocols laid down by the Local Government Units (LGUs).
The PSA appeals and enjoins the public to support the on-going 2023 updating of the List of Establishments (ULE and 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) for NonHouseholds.
