PTF-ELCAC validates SBDP proposed projects in Sallapadan

SALLAPADAN, Abra – The Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed-Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) recently visited Brgy. Naguillian in the municipality of Sallapadan for a validation and site inspection of the projects under the Support to the Barangay Development Program (SBDP).
Brgy. Naguillian is one of the six barangays identified as focus areas for development projects in the province.
There are two in Sallapadan, the other is barangay Ududiao, and four in the municipality of Malibcong namely Dulao, Duldulao, Bayabas and Umnap. Department of the Interior and Local Government Abra Provincial Director Millicent Cariño and Provincial Engineering Office head Engr. Rey Alagao led the review of the proposed projects in Naguillian- the establishment of a water system and a farm-to-market road(FMR)- for possible improvement.
These were proposed by the local officials during the consultation meeting with the PTF-ELCAC.
Alagao noted that water meter should be installed once the project is completed to ensure appropriate consumption of water supply for each household.
“It is a reminder for all that we must practice self-discipline every time we use our water supply in order for this project to be maintained and sustained for the benefit for all,” Alagao said.
The PTF-ELCAC will be visiting other SBDP beneficiaries for another consultation before the bidding and implementation of the projects for this year.
The SBDP is in line with Executive Order No. 70 of President Rodrigo R. Duterte institutionalizing a “Whole-Of-Nation” approach in Ending Local Communist Armed-Conflict towards the attainment of sustainable and inclusive peace.
