Representatives from the Office of the Provincial Governor – Environment and Natural Resources Unit; Mines and Geosciences Bureau and a non-government organization composing a multi-partite monitoring team, conduct monitoring of the operations of a sand and gravel quarrying area in Bangar, La Union on August 19, 2019, to ensure systematic mining in the Province of La Union.
A total of 40 commercial sand and gravel permit holders from Aringay, Bauang, Bagulin, San Juan, Bangar, Sudipen and Luna were monitored.
