Tublay readies for 2nd Year Crown Maintenance with its new assigned MNAO
TUBLAY, BENGUET – The local government is continuously harnessing their shining weapon as they vie for the 2nd year CROWN Maintenance, the last step before the most coveted Nutrition Honor Award (NHA).
With the anticipation of the retirement of Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Marcela Tinoyan this year, the MNC assigned Mr. Abner Lawagen from MDRRMC as the new MNAO.
Mr. Lawagen affirmed to continue the legacy of Dr. Tinoyan as MNAO and pursue progress in nutrition governance and implementation with the Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) members.
With the full support of the MNC led by the Chair and Mayor Armando I. Lauro, the MNC –Technical Working Group (TWG) and with assistance of Dr. Tinoyan, the LGU is committed to pour all their efforts making sure that they are ready for the NET visit.
To assess and further prepare the LGU, NO III Basalong and NO II Dao-ines conducted a technical assistance and initial assessment using the MELLPI Pro tool. Nutrition documents were reviewed and the strong and weak points were emphasized. Recommendations were also given to enhance program management.
Tublay, Benguet is the only municipality in CAR vying for national award this year. The municipality is expected to be visited and validated by the National Nutrition Evaluation Team (NNET) in April 2020.
