Some 78 farmers will benefit the Php 28.5 million irrigation project under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program component of National Irrigation Administration-Cordillera (NIA-CAR).
The project is located in Barangay Laya West, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
The turnover ceremony held recently was presided by (L-R) Benito Espique, Jr., NIA-CAR regional manager, Geraldo Alcantara, Chief Agrarian Reform Officer (Kalinga) and Reynaldo Wansi, president of Jose Anniban Farmers Irrigators’ Association, Inc.(INSET) L-RReggie Wacas, representative of Allen Jesse Mangaoang,District Representative of Kalinga, and IA Wansi. As of December 31,2020, irrigation development in the Cordilleras posted at 54.91 percent.
