Victory Liner, TPLEX urge people to share Visita Iglesia photos online

“Visiting God’s house every week and sharing the faith online urges others to do their duty too.”
Filipinos normally do their Visita Iglesia during Holy week. Visita Iglesia is one of the most cherished Catholic practices since the Spanish times. Filipinos believe that God rewards those who visit more than one church to pray and listen to God’s words.
Starting March 23, Victory Liner, one of Northern Luzon’s biggest bus firms, has teamed up with Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX)  in a program that urges people to spread their faith thru online photo sharing.
Called the Churches of the North, the program starts on March 23 and ends on Bonifacio Day, November 30. The main aim of the program is to encourage people to go to Northern Luzon churches and share these photos online to encourage more people to come, learn and appreciate the beauty of Catholic churches.
Tony Reyes, TPLEX spokesperson, says they partnered up with Victory Liner to help people discover the many historical and majestic churches found in Northern Luzon, which remains as a strong bastion of the Catholic faith not just in Asia, but around the world. Aside from Spain and Portugal, the Philippines has the most number of historic churches constructed mostly in the Baroque style of the 16th century.
Covered under this program are churches under the Ecclesiastical Province of Lingayen-Dagupan and Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. These includes cathedrals such as those of St Sebastian in Tarlac City, Cathedral of St. Michael Archangel (Doña Maria Clara Memorial Church) in Camiling, Cathedral of St. Hyacinth in Tuguegarao, Cathedral of St. Roche in San Felipe, Zambales, Cathedral of St. Anthony of Padua, Rosales, Pangasinan, Pro-Cathedral of St. Joseph in Lingayen and Pro-Cathedral of St. Jerome in Sto. Domingo. This program runs from March 20 to November 20, 2018.
