1,500 puntirya sa agresibong community testing

LUNGSOD NG BAGUIO – Isa pang beses ng Aggressive Community Testing para sa 1,500 katao na kabilang sa vulnerable sectors ang isinahawa noong Hunyo 11-12 sa Melvin Jones grandstand.
Sinabi ni City Health Officer Dr. Rowena Galpo na ang mga puntirya na sasailalim sa libreng Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) tests ay mga grupo kung saan ang kamakailang clustering ng mga kaso ng Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) ay nangyari.
Sinabi ni Sanitation Division Chief Engr. Charles Carame na ang puntiryang mga industriya ay mga empleyado ng gobyerno, hotel workers, food handlers, construction workers, gym/spa/wellness centers/barber shop, church clergies/ministers/pastors/staff, drivers, business process outsourcing/customer service relations (BPO/CSR) workers at security guards.
Ang ACT ay isang regular na programa ng pamahalaang lungsod at ng Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA)-John Hay Management Corp.
Sinabi ni Mayor na pinapanatili ng lungsod ang agresibong testing program nito bilang bahagi ng control measures laban sa COVID-19
“Although testing will cause the number of our cases to increase, we will be able to determine where the infections are coming from and know the situation on the ground. And because we know our true situation, we will also know how to address it, manage the cases and prevent more transmissions,” pag-uulit niya.
Sinabi ni Galpo na ang lungsod ay may mataas na testing rate na mas mataas sa national rate habang ang testing capacity nito ay mababa pa rin sa testing requirement.
“We still need to ramp up our testing capacity to be more effective in preventing transmissions,” aniya. Upang makamit ito ay pagbubutihin ng lungsod ang mga programa sa community testing, mandatory testing ng close contacts at antigen testing ng symptomatic na mga tao.
Hanggang Hunyo 7 ay nagsagawa ang lungsod ng kanuuang 185,541 tests at natest ang 118,871 katao katumbas nito ang 31.74 porsiyento ng populasyon ng lungsod.
