Obstacle course race gold medalist and a time world record holder for vertical climbing Sandi Menchi Abahan is back for deep training as she returns to her favorite event after failing to join the last Southeast Asian Games when it was cancelled by the organizing committee from host Vietnam.
“I am back,” announced the 2019 SEAGames gold medalist as she now looks forward to compete in the 100 meter portion of the OCR.

Abahan last week said that she was to embark for Manila to continue with her trainings after taking beak to help young athletes prepare for the same event. Abahan was actually with her athletes during the awards and recognition made by the city to honor the Batang Pinoy Athletes who won the national over-all title for the fourth straight time excluding the two year interruptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abahan ruled the last two editions of the Mount Kilimanjaro climb and also added the Mount Everest climb to her resume when she topped the event in November last year. The 2023 SEAGames in Phnom Penh, Cambodia will be staged on May 5 to 17. Meanwhile, newly retired
wushu taolu player Daniel Parantac is starting to settle in his new role as a coach after ending nearly 15 years of playing the game he loves the most.

“This is me now,” pointing at his son Theo, with a shrug and a smile. The father of one now shares coaching chores with former competitor Jake Massagan as they try to build new prospects in the Chinese martial arts mostly children seven years and even younger including his son, who he chased after right after the Batang Pinoy athletes recognition.

others.
