NIA-CAR 2024 Accomplishment Report

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet

A total of 220 irrigation projects were completed across Cordillera region for Calendar Year 2024 , equivalent to 82.96 percent physical accomplishment as of January 31, 2025, with 69 projects still to be completed, according to the National Irrigation Administration -Cordillera (NIA-CAR). Based on the Status of Project Implementation
submitted to Benito T. Espique, Jr, Regional Manager of NIA-CAR, some 691 hectares of new areas were developed and restored 2,611. ha. for a total of 3,424,165.54 ha.

Some 20,269 farmer-irrigators were benefitted and generated a total of 17,243 jobs. In 2024 the agency has a total allocation of P3.518,950.84 billion. Completed projects include repair and restoration of national and communal
irrigation systems (NIS/CIS), Small Irrigation Project (SIP), Establishment of Groundwater Pump Irrigation Systems— Solar (EGPIP-Solar), and service roads, among others. Summary of Completed Projects Per Province:
Mountain Province topped the list with 59, Benguet 46, Ifugao 40, Kalinga 34, Abra 21 , and Apayao 20.
