Joint anti-narcotics agencies operatives caught a 22 year old college student from Purok 3, barangay Liwan West in Rizal town in Kalinga though his two cohorts were able to evade a dragnet Thursday afternoon in Bulanao Centro, Tabuk City, Kalinga capital, when they sold 6
marijuana bricks to undercover government agents. “Alias Larry” will face illegal drug trading charges and while two other suspects, “alias
John John” and “alias Edmar”, both residents of Brgy. Nambaran, also in Tabuk City, are being hunted now.
PDEA said aside from the six marijuana bricks that weighed more or less six kilos with an estimated street value of P720,000.00 and the buy-bust money, operatives also took as evidence a black and red Honda XRM motorcycle with plate no; a black and blue Rusi Passion
motorcycle without plate number; and one Realme C33 android phone. Operatives said, all the three suspects though two of them have not been caught, will face Illegal drug charges, particularly violation of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). It was not detailed though how come two of “Alias Larry’s” cohorts were able to evade arrest.
