BAGUIO CITY- The National Economic and Development Authority
(NEDA) has recently proposed an allotment of 240 million pesos to the city of Baguio to jumpstart the rehabilitation of Loakan Airport.
NEDA secretary Ernesto Pernia committed and ensured that the project would save the airport.
Mayor Mauricio Domogan, in a recent press conference said that the
proposed budget was an estimate and came from the creation of the Regional Development Council (RDC).
He also said that NEDA wants to help the city in rehabilitating the airport. He also said that Pernia assured the airport will not close and that the proposed project would be doable in terms of
improvement and will gather connecting flights.
