The patient, the first positive in Lagawe, according to the local government unit, arrived in the town on June 7 and was immediately brought at the town’s community quarantine facility.
A rapid test was done that turned up reactive.  The swab test result came in Wednesday morning indicating he is positive, the LGU said.
The patient though is stable and is being closely monitored by the Lagawe municipal health office front liners while contact tracing was immediately launched.
The first and second positive patients in Ifugao have since been discharged from the hospital after both recovering from the dreaded disease.  The first case, a 65-year old villager from Poblacion East, Lamut, was recorded on April 26 while the second case, a member of the Philippine Coast Guard working at Binondo, Manila, is from Panopdopan, also in Lamut who arrived in his hometown on May 1.  It was recorded on May 12.
