61,000 benepisaryo ng 4Ps sa CAR, tumanggap ng rice subsidy
Nakapaglabas na ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa pamamagitan ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ng kabuuang P36,210,600 upang punan ang rice subsidy sa mga sambahayan ng Pantawid Pamilya sa rehiyon. Ang nasabing halaga ay sakop ang 60,351 sambahayan na nakitang nakarehistro, aktibo at sumunod sa implementasyon ng programa.
Sinabi ni Pantawid Pamilya Regional Program Coordinator Fatima Florendo na inilabas ito kasama ang cash grants noong Marso 2017. “An amount of P600 has been added which will cover the rice subsidy for the month of January,” pahayag niya.
Bilang bahagi ng pangako ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kaniyang unang SONA, ang rice subsidy ay maibibigay sa lahat ng benepisaryo ng Pantawid Pamilya na namonitor ng programa at sumusunod kahit man lang isa sa programa bilang kondisyon bawat buwan.
“Only those who do not comply with all the program conditionalities will not be given rice subsidy. But no rice subsidy shall be given to a household that may be compliant with the conditionalities but are under cases that need to be resolved by the department such as cases of fraud, duplicity, ineligibility, etc.,” paliwanag ni Florendo.
Nasa 63,348 sambahayan ang benepisaryo sa rehiyon, subalit sa period 6 na sakop ang Disyembre 2016 hanggang Enero 2017 ay may 61,129 lamang na sambahayan ang target na makakatanggap ng subsidiya.
“For this period, the program has only considered the compliance of our beneficiaries for January 2017. Thus, households that are compliant in December 2016 but not in January has not been given rice subsidy,” ani Florendo.
“The rice subsidy is just an additional assistance to our beneficiaries. We still believe that their compliance to all the conditionalities will be beneficial to them not just financially but for their overall development,” dagdag pa niya.
