SURRENDERED
Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas and DILG-Benguet LGOO Jonilou Sahoy welcomed two Communist Terrorist Groups from Abra who surrendered to the folds of the law in a ceremony at the Benguet Provincial Capitol on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
The former rebels were presented by Benguet Provincial Police Office Director PCol. Reynaldo Pasiwen and Benguet 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company Chief PLt. Col. Benson Macliing.
The former rebels also surrendered their firearms and explosive devices. Gov. Diclas welcomed the surrender of the two former rebels and in return turned over initial food assistance to them.
He said that the individuals will be undergoing process and documentation for the remuneration for their turned over firearms and explosive devices and for other assistance and benefits from the government including the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program ECLIP.
