74TH JANUARIUS FIL-AM GOLF INVITATIONAL CAMP JOHN HAY TEAMS RETAIN SENIORS FLIGHT “A” TITLE

Camp John Hay Golf Club Teams have  retained  their titles  in Flight A of their respective divisions  in the seniors  74th Januarius Fil-Am Golf Invitational here. John Hay 1 carded   an aggregate 4-day total of 409  (89-82-121-117) for the coveted  FIL ‘’A’ title while its sister team John Hay 2 signed a final score  of 393 (119-102-86-86) for the  AM ‘’A’ plum. Noel Beleran anchored John Hay 1 final day round with three-over for 33 points at home (Camp John Hay) course . He was supported by Hur Yun  29, Villamor ‘’Bummi’ Bumanglag 28 and  Dai Tsuchiya 27. While John Marasigan carded 29 to lift John Hay 2 final round.

He was supported by Bonifacio “Bonnie” de Castro 25, Clyde Cabreros 20 and Charles Baguilat 12. Mamala Bay settled for second place in FIL A with 397 (91-92-106-110) while  Moto finished third with 369 (80-79-109-101). Top  finishers in AM ‘’A’ – The Young Ones  placed second  with 356 (91-96-89-82) and Bibak NY/NJ/ Igolfers  USA 340 (94-90-88-70). Luisita Golf and Country Club and Manila Southwoods GC 2  also retained the  titles of their respective divisions on  Wednesday’s rain marred fourth and final round of the tournament with Januarius Holdings, Inc. as the title sponsor and  supported by A Brown, Eastridge, and Toyota as event presenter while Alveo, Tipsy Pig, Aquatico, Moto Lubricant, Master Siomai, Robinsons Land, and Britanny as backers are :   Abe Rosal carded  2-over for 34 points and  Benjie Sumulong 30 points to anchor  Luisita’s final round assault at Camp John Hay course   with 121   for a total  4-day total of 448 points for the  FIL Championship Flight title.

Also scoring for Luisita are Damascus Wong 29 and Ferdie Barbosa 28. Southwoods 1 ranked second with 443 including its 114 in the final round while Riviera Golf placed third with 431. Southwoods 2 signed  a four-day total of 412 to capture the AM Championship Flight, Sxrixon IMG finished second with 403 while Greenwater Seniors placed third with 395.  ‘Due to the imminent threat of darkness caused by the rain delays , we regret ..that the 4th Round for the divisions –Flights B and C are canceled. And reduced to a 54-hole competition.” Thus, Bughaw Golfers which tallied  280  (81 -98-101) emerged the champion in FIL B followed by A1/MGC which  placed second with 262 (75-85-102) and third place went to Baguio Country Club 1  with 259 72-87-100).

In AM-B,  top finishers are  MCG-Mimosa 273, Waterlympics Pampanga 248 and  Forest Hills Palmer 248. In FIL C, Silicon Valley Golfers  Link Team 1 emerged the winner with 227 followed by Team City of Vallejo 1 225 and Pinewoods Kumpadres 223. For AM C Project Lazarus topped the group with224, Baguio County Club 2 second with 222and Green Water Meadows 222. Other top winners:  FIL D  Kalabaw Megafiber 280, Mountaineers Team 276 and Fairgolf Club of Sydney  1 275.; AM D Davao Eagle Masters 2 259, Melbourne AUS Team 254 and Macquarie Links Sydney 2 250. FIL E CaliPhil-Hawaii 236,Alpha Phi Omega Golfers -Team Alpha 228 and Korea Morning Calm226; and AM E Sandigan Golfers 2 210, FIL AM Oahu 2 200 and Green Canyon196 Meanwhile , Nueva Ecija Travellers  won  the regular  FIL F flight , scored 329 followed by TIEZA Club Intramuros GC 1 296 and  Team Banh-Mi 294. Team Foretee topped AM ‘’F’ regular with  285, City of Pines 262 and TIEZA Club Intramuros GC 2  262  and PeekUp PH 255.
