A time with the governor in the province of Benguet addressing the problem of solid waste management under the Republic Act 9003 reminding the signatories on the MOA on Clean-Up Drive every 2nd Friday of the month since year 2011. Governor Crescencio Pacalso said that out of 13 municipalities of Benguet, only the municipality of La Trinidad defend, present and is approved by the Benguet Provincial Environment and Natural Resources. And the province still waits for the others to follow.

In other matters, there are 7 Members of the Board in Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center and one of them is the Governor. BAPTC has a possibility to be operated by a private corporation, Chief Operation Officer of BAPTC Dr. Violeta Salda clarified last July 16, 2017. However, when the Office of the Governor received a letter from a certain man indicating that he is indeed a president of a corporation and much interested in operating the BAPTC, the Governor himself researched the name of the corporation, the cooperative and the name of the man in the letter and they saw nothing of these written names from the SEC as a qualified corporation, not found even in Google and registered Cooperative of the Philippines.

And now we talk about the stand of Benguet Province on Autonomy, Gov. Crescencio Pacalso said that “There are rumours on region of Cordillera to be scattered when Federalism occurs. Ti kayat tayo kuma buo-buo tayo latta nga mapan ti maysa nga Federal Government ta at least agsisinnuporta tayo as an indigenous people of Cordillera, that is why we go for Autonomy first before Federalism.” Pacalso said.

Moreover, the Police Regional Office-Cordillera said there piece regarding the issue on rape cases in the Region last July 18, 2017. Governor Pacalso said “There are also young people who are perpetrators of rape, and that is our concern now. So ditoy kuman nga umuneg ken papigsaen tayo pay ti Ugnayan ng Simbahan sa Paaralan.” In this matter we take the children away from the harm of bisyo like alcohol, smoking, drugs, marijuana, exploit shows in social media and etc…
