ACT – CIS Partylist helping people in their own way in this time of crisis

With the spread of COVID-19 in the country, government and private efforts are centered on addressing the needs of frontliners and the members of the vulnerable sector. In addition to the aid provided by the national government and LGUs to those affected by the crisis, the Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) Partylist also imparts its assistance to Filipino families.
Utilizing their personal funds, the partylist has provided (1) PPEs and other medical equipment to various hospitals and to many frontliners, (2) financial assistance to those who are part of the informal economy, (3) relief goods to families most affected by the community quarantine, among others.
According to ACT-CIS Representative Eric Go Yap, the partylist has already extended their aid to those in different parts of NCR, Tarlac, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Mindoro, Davao, Bicol, Cagayan, and Isabela. May krisis man o wala, patuloy tayo sa ating serbisyo.
As the Legislative Caretaker of Benguet, Yap also took initiative to ensure that the people of Benguet are provided with necessary aid. Just last week, the solon donated 2.5 million worth of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and other essential needs to the health workers in Benguet General Hospital (BeGH).
Yap also donated 500 sacks (50 kgs. each) of rice as initial relief to be distributed to the 13 Municipalities of the Province earlier this week.
“That’s only initial relief.
To help reduce the impact of the crisis to the farmers, the solon also bought the vegetable produce of Benguet farmers, to be distributed as relief to families in need.
