ALAMINOS CITY INIHANAY ANG TOURISM CODE SA MGA PAMANTAYAN NG DOT

Binago ng city government ng Alaminos City ang tourism code nito upang maisunod sa mga pamantayan ng Department of Tourism na makikinabang kapuwa ang mga turista at mga manggagawa. “We will also have local accreditation but we will be using local registration form. We
will have initial categorization of the establishment’s classification according to the DOT standard,” sinabi ni City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office assistant head Rose Aruelo sa isang panayam
noong Martes.

Nakatakdang ipatupad ng pamahalaang lungsod ang bagong tourism code simula sa Disyembre 1.
Maliban sa business permit, hihingin na rin ngayon ng lungsod ang annual general liability insurance para sa mga bisita, schedule of current rates at safety declaration certificate alinsunod sa occupational safety and health standards at iba pa, aniya. Ang mga fees sa Hundred Islands National Park (HINP) ay mababago rin kaugnay sa bagong tourism code.

“Some fees were retained while some were increased. The rationale is for the development of the islands. The developments require higher amount of revenue for maintenance of facilities and
cleanliness of areas,” ani Aruelo. Ang registration fee para sa isang araw na pamamasyal sa HINP ay itataas sa PhP20 hanggang PhP120 kada tao habang ang overnight tour registration ay nasa PhP200 bawat tao. Ang registration fee ay sakop ang environmental fee at insurance coverage.

Ang motor boat rates ay may bahagyang pagbabago. Mag-aalok din ang HINP simula sa Disyembre 1 ng exclusivity package ng island mula PhP80,000 hanggang PhP150,000 depende sa isla at ang schedule. “The package will include security personnel, first aider, and helper to assist guests in
the islands,” dagdag ni Aruelo.
