DOLORES’ CHILDREN SHOWCASE LITERARY SKILLS IN NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH

DOLORES, Abra

Students and teachers from the different elementary schools at the Department of Education
Dolores District joined the Storytelling and Draw and Tell competitions during the Children General Assembly to wrap up the celebration of National Children’s Month. The program organized
by the local government unit through the Municipal Social Welfare Office led by MSWD Officer Marilyn Avila in coordination with the public schools.

Vice Mayor Lourdes Jacqueline Baac in her message lauded the parents and the teachers in actively involving their children to activities like these. “Daytoy ti gundaway nga maipakita ti talent dagiti ubbing tayo (This is an opportunity to show the talents of your children), we must allow them to enjoy explore and discover things so that their talents with your guidance will be built,” she said.

Both of competitions were participated by a representative of the 10 elementary schools in Dolores District. Unique Lavereign Tordil of Taping Elementary School won the Storytelling Competition while Lourdes Zapata ES Nathali Pacapac won the Draw and Tell Competition. Avilan expressed her thanks to the schools for heeding to the call of the LGU in joining the Children’s Assembly.
