Approved ordinances in LT

One approved ordinance in La Trinidad is the “Strengthening sustaining the Day Care Center Program of the Municipality of La Trinidad”. Councilor Roderick Awingan said that this is based on the Early Childhood Care and Development or otherwise known as the R.A. 10410 “The Early Years Act of 2013” as the responsible of the Local Government Unit to allocate special education fund and gender development fund to support the implementation of ECCD. Awingan added that interested teacher shall be pursuant to the rules provided by the Civil Rules and Regulations of Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The other approved ordinance is “Prescribing Guidelines in the Establishment and Operation of Dental Clinic sa Barangay Health Centers” establishing R.A. 7160 the function of Municipality to provide effective basic premises and facilities for Health Services. More to this LT will now institutionalize a Dental Health Month of February of every year.

Another approved ordinance the “La Trinidad People with Disability Identification Card for Patients with Chronic Disease like Cardio Vascular Diseases, Diabetes, Epilepsy and other related cases”. The amended R.A 7277 providing for the rehabilitation and self-reliance of disabled persons is where Coun. Horacio Ramos created this new ordinance.

Meanwhile, A Medical Assistance Program of La Trinidad led by Coun. Bobot Fongwan Jr. last Mar. 22, 2018 (Thursday) at the Municipal Hall said that “I am in favour of the Free Dialysis in the Philippines.” La Trinidad alone recorded more or less 100 patients in need of Medical Assistance last year and now this 1st quarter of 2018 they have already received 48 request of MA  that alerted most of the member of Sangguniang Bayan. Fongwan Jr. also clarified that the medical assistance is not in terms of money but a medical endorsement.

The Revised Revenue Code of La Trinidad has been a talk of the town since the start of the year. It discouraged most of new entrepreneurs of the municipality. Councilor Guiller Galwan said that with every concern of the public his office and Attorney Quintin from the Office of the Mayor is very open for questions and clarifications. The Revenue Code was revised last 2005 and it is only now that the Local Government of La Trinidad go through with it.

Pray that the needs to serve the people shall be fulfilled, hoping beyond hope to be a good servant. Then I guess my pastor was right as I will quote him saying, “You cannot approach God with a prideful heart, you can only approach him with a humble heart.” That is if you ask something to make your goal come true. After all, he is still in control of everything, because in the Bible (KJV) 1Peter 5:5 “for God resist the proud, and give grace to the humble.” This is yours truly Tita Ara Katter of 98.7 ZRadio, a Sunday Program, 10am to 1pm that always reminds you “Ti panagkaykaysa, mangiwanwan iti naranyag nga pagsayaatan.”
