Assassins gun down Ilocos Sur village chief watchman

BAGUIO CITY (July 20, 2021)— Assassins aboard a car stealthily gunned down in professional-fashion a village chief tanod early evening Monday in Barangay Cabaritan, Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur.
The victim identified as Tirzo Tacla Rin, 50, resident of Barangay Suksukit, Sto. Domingo town and head of his village “tanods” was heading home at around 6PM on board his motorcycle when still unidentified suspects aboard a car appeared and fired at him. 
Rin after falling down from his motorcycle reportedly tried to run towards a house but the suspects followed him and finished him off with more gunfire. 
The chief tanod sustained gunshot wounds on his head and different parts of his body.  He was rushed to Northside Doctors Hospital but was declared dead-on-arrival.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered from spent shells of Caliber 45 pistol where the chief village watchman.

They also recovered the Norinco-brand caliber 45 pistol of the victim.
Police citing their initial investigation said, Rin has no known enemies or rift he was involved into.  
Investigation is ongoing ti determine the motive and the identification of the suspects.
