Baguio City Village On Lockdown

BAGUIO CITY (April 23, 2020)  – Mayor Benjamin Magalong placed on Thursday San Vicente barangay here on lockdown over repeated violations of the Enhanced Community Quarantine rules.
This also after 24-year old cook–Jason Vida Alejandro, from San Vicente was
arrested for violation of curfew at nearby Balsigan barangay Tuesday after patrolling policemen caught three transparent sachets of dried marijuana leaves pegged to reach P6,555.00 from him.
Policemen reportedly noticed Alejandro, wearing   a   motorcycle   helmet   sitting   at   a sidewalk   in Barangay   Balsigan and when cautioned of the curfew, he showed hesitance. When frisked,  the cook was keeping 3 pieces of transparent plastic sachets of dried marijuana leaves weighing  5.466 grams.
Magalong said that under the lockdown of San Vicente, access to and from the barangay will be restricted including their marketing schedule except for Authorized Persons outside Residences.
Residents will have to coordinate with the barangays for their needs, the mayor said.
Magalong had earlier placed three barangays in the city on lockdown after similar quarantine violations.
