Baguio Village “Freed”

BAGUIO CITY (April 25, 2020) – Barangay Fairview is “freed” Saturday.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong announced the lifting of the lockdown of the barangay effective 8 AM today.

While noting the improvement in the residents’ behavior, the mayor advised residents to take the COVID-19 community quarantine rules and precautionary measures seriously this time.

“May this also serve as a lesson to other barangays.  We will not hesitate to lock you up if you will not abide by the rules,” the mayor sternly warned.

Three barangays had earlier been subjected to lockout.  Barangay Pinget was the first to be sealed off and was later reopened after showing improved behavior.  San Vicente barangay is still cordoned off.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong is set to lift his lockdown orders over Upper Dagsian, Woodsgate Subd., in Camp 7 and Maria Basa St. in Pacdal effective 6 p.m. Saturday.

Though residents are advised to continue abiding by the COVID-19 community quarantine rules and precautionary measures even with the easing up of the restrictions.
