Baguio’s 61st LSV are from Antipolo, Rizal

BAGUIO CITY – Five individuals from Antipolo, Rizal were chosen as Baguio’s 61st Lucky Summer Visitors (LSV) after a successful search in different buses passing the Pugo, La Union route to the city.
The five LSVs were Joan Mae Toca, 25 years old together with her partner Jeremy Lozada, 22 years old, and their son Justin Gabriel who also was cited the youngest LSV.
With them were their co-workers Cecil Piquete, 32 years old and Iran Mae Santiago, 22 years old.
The Lucky Summer Visitors were sighted in the seventh Victory Liner bus bearing the number 2047 and driven by Richard Q. Landingin.
The visitors said they waited four hours at the terminal before they got their bus seat. “Nag-antay po kami sa terminal ng apat na oras bago kami nakasakay papuntang Baguio. Tapos chance passenger din po kami,” Toca said.
Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club (BCBC) president Jordan Tablac expressed his joy and contentment with the search.
“I’m so happy because from the previous years, umaabot kami ng lunch time bago mahanap yung Lucky Summer Visitors, eh kanina past 8 pa lang meron na,” he said.
Tablac also said that they had planned to get 2 more LSVs but they failed to find qualifiers from the buses that followed, reason why he decided to stop the search and focus instead with the five visitors.
The LSV enjoyed the privilege of a Very Important Person (VIP) treatment with police escort through every destination while in Baguio and in parts of Benguet; all expenses paid accommodation for three nights and four days; all expenses paid tours and meals; meet and great with Baguio-Benguet officials; free transportation going back to Manila; and tokens, freebies and souvenirs.
