The Department of Social Welfare and Development – Cordillera, awards the government’s financial assistance to two families from Tabuk City and Tinglayan, Kalinga who availed the “Balik Probinsya” program during the pandemic in a simple ceremony on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Christopher Daoayan, Social Welfare Officer III and the Balik Probinsiya Program focal person of
the DSWD-CAR said the family of Rey Wayaway of Tabuk City who came from Bataan received a total of PHP91, 000 for the basic needs and livelihood assistance. Another beneficiary, Oliver Boacan of the municipality of Tinglayan came from Pampanga after his company closed in 2000 due to the pandemic. His family earlier received PHP50,000 immediate assistance and another PHP50,000 was turned-over on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 for the sari-sari store livelihood of the family.
