Benguet first district engineering completes 94 projects
La Trinidad, Bneguet – Some 99 projects of CY 2020 on different categories were completed by Benguet First District Engineering Office Department of Public Works and Highways- Cordillera (DPWH-CAR).
In a report submitted to Engineer Benedicta Mendoza, Officer-in-charge of Benguet First District Engineering Officer, these projects include roads,bridges, flood control, access roads leading to tourism destination, access roads leading to trades, industries and economic zones, among others.
The agency constructed, improved and rehabilitated 7.416 Kms of roads valued at Php 430.06 million –1.448 Kms primary roads; 10.701 Kms. secondary roads and 3.908 Kms. of tertiary roads.
It also undertook 16 flood control projects amounting to Php 246.913 million. Constructed 4.921 kilometers of access roads for tourism destination, and trades,industries and economic zones with total value of Php159.902 million.
It also implemented a total of 18 other infrastructure projects like local roads, farm-to-market roads,bridges,water systems,school buildings, health centers,day care centers and health centers,amounting to Php 109.384 million.
